Annoyed w/ Granddad

My mom sent me the following converstaion, as a text message, as I was headed out to lunch today. I literally LOL'd in the car.




Sawyer: I wish Granddad could talk normally.

Mom: What?

Sawyer: I wish Granddad could talk normal.

Mom (to me): Too funny... what goes on in his head and comes out his mouth.

I text her back asking her to ask Sawyer what he meant and for clarification. I was interested in why Sawyer thought Granddad wasn't talking normal. I mean, I had a hunch but I wanted to be sure. Here's what she replied:



Mom: Oh, I know exactly what he meant and why he said it.

This morning Granddad went on and on mispronouncing things and Sawyer got quite put out with him and his inability to say things correctly after he (Sawyer) restated the words clearly for Granddad.

I did talk with him about that being a way that Granddad was teasing him... I just don't think he found the humor in it this morning.

I would have being rolling on the floor with laughter if I wasn't driving. I can just imagine my little guy getting so annoyed with his granddad not taking this talking thing seriously.
