A decade? What the heck?! Where did the time go? Who am I? Didn't I just conceive him?😜
My Sawyer- a child wise beyond his years. A world-changer in boy form. A heart that loves like I never have. His desire to be perfect is endearing and maddening- something to be guided. A person who apologizes too much, IMO, and when he doesn't need to. Peacemaker. Leader. Helper. He keeps me grounded. He gets me. It is an absolute JOY to be his mom.
Lord, I thank you for refining me with the grace and patience this boy needs me to bestow. I hear your heart come through in his voice/ words. I see your fingerprints on every thread of who he is. I don't deserve the pure blessing Sawyer is, but I will take him and be ever-thankful for him. You knew I needed him- even when I doubted. I swear you gave him more to me than me to him. Please protect him. He is yours, Lord, and I thank you for trusting me with him in this life on this rock. Amen
Events of May 11, 2017: go with mom to PT appointment, pick out birthday present from Toys R Us, family lunch at Pieology with Granny & Granddad- complete with presents, froyo at Menchies, last session of art class at the Muckenthaler Museum in Fullerton, play time with friends after class, family dinner at home, and finally time with Daddy and Dempsey.
Events of May 12, 2017: lazy morning, quick trip to get fun plastic tumblers for his shake party, lunch at home, prepping and setting up for his party, THE PARTY (NEOLIFE Shake Party, Simply Irresistible mini cupcakes, popcorn, Kubo and the Two Strings, outside play time, and much energy expended. Such a fun gathering of friends.
