Christmas Day

After a completely full and wonderful Christmas day in which he was
blessed beyond measure, here are a few tid bits of Sawyer's wisdom.
The first comes from his bed time routine with Jake. The second comes
from his prayer time with me.

"Can you give all those people a big hug for me since I can't give
them any more hugs right now. Lord, can you give them back the money
they spent on the gifts so they can have it back..."

"... yes, my heart is so happy that it can almost split in two... then
someone else could have a copy of my heart."

Lord, you broke the mold with Sawyer. He is special and we see that.
Help us to guide him in the path that YOU have laid for him. Help us
love him and teach him in ways that speak Your love into his heart

Christmas Eve

He makes me so proud. The thoughtfulness, the genuine spirit, the
humor, the kindness... he is an angel sent from God just for me. I
love him so very much... sometimes I think my heart will burst.

Preparing Costumes for Halloween 2014

Next Halloween...

Kamatz- to be MetaKnight, paper mache black wings, large pocket for
his sword (glowing like fire), make sure he gets a mask with red eyes
and holes to see
Lakota- and angel (even though he's not a girl), with a cool (ie human) nose

Sawyer- might be Prince Fluff, need a whip with a star at the end.


This kid! Always thinking. Perhaps by seven and a half he will realize
this isn't a good idea.

It's good to know advertisements are lost on my son. He came in
talking about this creation he invented with an Iron Man toy he has.
He called this invention the Weaponizer Walker. What a name! Right?!

Anyway, he remarked that be'd seen an advertisement for a Transformers
but it didn't really have the guns. He asked "Why do they make videos
like that? Oh, I guess it's because they wantto make money to buy
other stuff."

I said "Yes, they want to make money off of you."

He replied "Thankfully i'm not gonna obey those!"

Most definitely, Sawyer, we are okay with you NOT obeying advertisements!!

A Person Of...

"I'm not a person of time... I'm a person of technology."

This came after a discussion about Sawyer needig to get to sleep soon
because he has Friday school tomorrow. He said, "I hate Fridays. When
I have to get up early."

Jake said, "What time were you up THIS morning?"
Sawyer was up between 7:15-7:45! So, he is no stranger to early-ish
mornigs! Heaven forbid he has to wake up for "school" ONE day a week.
